I think our colours are going to be purple and ivory, with the tablecloths being purple. That said, I dont want to put my BMs in ivory for the obvious reason that I am wearing that colour but then I don't want them in purple either as they will blend in with the tablecloths! what colour could I put them in that would still "go"? I like the colours of these 2 dresses but not sure that they will! (please bare in mind that 2 of my BMs are very pale!)

Personally I think the paler one, maybe they could have purple sashes as opposed to grey like the picture, just to tie in?
Did you get the pics from the Forever Yours website?

I'm with juliak the paler one with the purple sash. Love the style though and pale is great. I'm embracing the pale and saying no to a fake tan for my wedding!

Thanks for your reply ladies! yes, its forever yours from glamourous gowns. My BMs dont want to embrase the pale, they are always on about being too pale! I did try to point out that pale is in but they weren't having any of it! If not these colours can anyone suggest any other colours that would look nice? I want all my BMs to be happy in what they are wearing!

I got my dress from a vintage shop and hadn't thought to look at the label, when I went to see the dress again today (it's waiting for alterations) I looked and it was Forever Yours, I didn't even realise before that it was from a wedding site! The only reason I recognised your BM's dresses was because I was looking at the site just minutes before your post, how strange!
Your BM's can still have a glow about them wearing these dresses, in fact a fake tan (got to say fake as I'm a beauty therapist and totally disagree with sunbeds) will help bring out the colour of the dresses I think.
Was going to fake tan my arms etc for the wedding but have decided that it could go terribly wrong so am using gold bronzer and subtle glitter, which matches with my gold theme anyway!

I am having purple and ivory too! Gone for a plum/ purple rather than a cadbury purple, if that makes sense. My bridesmaids will be in purple, with the little ones in ivory, but we are also bring in some pinks and greens in the flowers and some silver accessories too.

Do your bridesmaids like the purple colour? Could you have ivory table cloths instead with lots of purple accessories to bring in the colour. (unless you already got them like)

    Sorry not been much help.

I might mention fake tan and see what they say! I don't want ivory tablecloths because our reception room is being tented and lined in ivory silk. I think it might all look a bit white if that makes sense?

Totally makes sense. I think it's really nice to have a good, strong colour for the tableclothes. I think the guests will appreciate it as it can be quite daunting worrying that you're going to spill something on light ones!

I never thought of it from the guests perspective! lol. We are going to see the venue next sat all done up with the purple tablecloths, it will be nice to see as it can be hard to visualise it!

Can you take some pics and post them on here? I know what you mean about visualisation, I've got an idea in my head but not sure that it's realistic! We're going black, white and gold....

    I get what you mean!

Have you looked at alfred angelo site, you can swap the colours of the dresses to look at different colours, it mighthelp. I like thesugar plum dresses. Other websites might do that too. You never know once you see the venue in your colours that might help you with deciding on the bridesmaid dresses too. I went to see my venue when it was all set up and they had it in my colours, it was so good to see as it is hard to imagine when you look at a blank room!

A friend recently went to a wedding and the bridesmaids all had different colour dresses, she said it looked fab!!

Keep us posted it would be good hear your plans/ colours

Julia K, I am worried I might spill my dinner down my dress!! (it just has to happen!) I am tempted to ask for a bib in the material he he!!

okie dokie, I will post pics next week after we have been to see it! I like the idea of different colour dresses. I was actually thinking about putting the MOH in a contrasting colour (her dress would be the colour of the other BMs sash and her sash the colour of the BM dresses!) But not sure if this would look odd!

Sorry Julia k!! My H2b loves omato ketchup, he has it on everything so I thought I might ask the caterers to put some on the table for him, then i had a vision of him scquirting it and it heading towards me!!

Weddings do make you worry about everything, but i reckon on the day i wont care!

Ha ha! Good idea about putting it on the table for him though.
My h2b has a habit of accidentally throwing red wine on me (he always says it's an accident anyway, lol).
