    Hi all,

So I am going to be having Grace by Lyn Ashworth, I have ordered it and paid the deposit and have my measurements taken on 1st June.... Eeek! The photo below shows me in the ivory dress with Taupe sash.

But after reading Beckickles post on her dress colour I am considering changing the order to a Taupe dress with an ivory sash, instead of the other way round.

What do you all think?

Just a bit of background info...
I am 23, and have an olive skin complection, and do go pretty tanned during the summer which lasts usually until Mid October. So when I get married (23rd October) I will still have a bit of a tan. My H2B doesn't tan at all - infact on holiday we are like chocolate and milk!
My colour scheme/theme for the day is Purple and pearls - more of an aubergine than cadburys colour, below are the bridesmaid dresses.

    BM and MOH.jpg

I'd really appriciate all your honest opinions. I always thought I'd go for ivory... but really do like the taupe colour. Do you think it might be a bit too much in the style of dress and I guess the ivory would look better next to H2B... Which do you think would go better with my colour scheme/skin complection?

    Thanks so much in advance

    That looks gorgeous!

Chocolate and milk, haha, I like it! It's the same for us 2, but the other way round!

I think Irovy would be my choice given your complexion (and h2b's), although I think both would be nice. Do you have a piccie of it in taupe just so I can better imagine it?

Can't stop thinking about cadburys chocolate now (taupe brown and purple!) [IMG].

What a gorgeous dress! It looks amazing on you and I love the lace bolero aswell. You're gonna look amazing!! I voted ivory cos its my preference for bridal and it looks lovely against tanned skin.

I am also having purple but with silver and my dress is an oyster colour - a really light coffee colour.

Your dress is beautiful as it is - it looks stunning. I think the ivory with a tan will be amazing.

I am going to vote ivory.

    Gorgeous dress, I voted ivory.

I love the bolero, is it by the same designer?

Oh you are so right... and that's not really the look I was going for!

Yes it is - both by Lyn. love it as wanted a strapless dress, but don't like my upper arms so this covers them perfectly with out being "straps"!

Do not be sorry... I aasked for honest opinions!!

Thanks so much for your help ladies - it really is such a beautiful dress, and feels amazing on... I think I'm going to go with you and stick with Ivory. Will def look better next to H2B - don't want to wash him out!

Thanks again! I knew I could rely on you lot!

see, i would go for the taupe, because it's different and you'll get the "WOW!" factor when you walk in.

    it's classy, too.

but i suppose we really do need to see a picture of the taupe.

with your complexion, you can carry both colours off.
