That sounds like a great idea! x
Aww thanks! Anyone that knows us will think its great.. just need to find a company that does it now haha
I've been racking my brains trying to think of favours. Was thinking of sweets, but we're having a sweetie table at night. Then I thought about 'coin keyrings' (useful for the supermarket) but h2b says most people have them anyway so went off that idea. Think we've decided on decorating tea lights (pink ribbon for women and black for men) and having thank you cards with health, wealth etc. Still not sure though - opinions please????
Sez loving your idea for temporary tattoos, very unique and would be amazing if you can get someone to match your invite design. Zoe I love the ribbon around tea lights, I'd never have thought of doing that. Sweet and simple
got one quote back as its a minimum order of 1000 it would be about £140... not sure if i can justify that
Hi everyone, I've decided to use charity wedding favours for my wedding. I think it's a fab idea because people get a really good feeling from it and it's really original. I had a look at different charities and found that the NSPCC do some great ones http://www.nspcc.org.uk/get-involved/fundraise-for-us/in-a-celebration/weddings/celebrate-wedding_wda72341.html so I think i'll order these. Has anyone else thought of doing charity favours? How do they go down with guests? Sally
I've just made a load of what were going to be lottery ticket holders but we decided to back to the original plan of charity donations but still not sure what. Possibly to the village hall fund for the place we are using as it's a listed building that struggles to maintain it's features.
There is some great wedding favours out there and especially the ones posted on this thread. Not sure if this will help anyone but I've registered with Confetti and once a week they send some really good offers to my inbox with discounts up to 75% off sometimes. This tends to be off favours, stationary or sometimes the majoirty of their good particulary towards christmas, easter, summer etc. Hope this helps x
There are some cute ideas on www.altar-native boutique.com including musical note key rings and bug nuts! (remember them?)
Ugh I'm still at a loss. I got a new cookery book at the weekend (Baking Made Easy by Lorraine Pascale - it's fab!) and I'm tempted to do some kind of sweet treat as the favour. It has recipes for macaroons, but involves fresh cream which wouldn't be the best if left on tables for hours! There is a honeycombe recipe too... might have to give that one a try
You could do the macaroons but fill them with french cream as it can tolerate being left out for a few hours at least due to the high sugar content. Or, you could get the venue people to fill them for you
You could use marscapone for the filling and flavour it however you like to go with the macarons as that can be happily left out for a couple of days. You should always leave macarons for a couple of days for them to be at their best, they are one of those things that is better if you don't eat them straight out of the oven!
Ooh good idea! I thought I might try putting nutella in the middle too... but then I DEFINITELY wouldn't be able to resist eating them!!
Some splendid favour ideas here, I love the way each one is so personal to the bride notably the tattoos for Sez (did you order them btw?), plectrums for Salma and knitted things for Popple. I'm going for these (see pic) as everybody knows I'm addicted to cups of tea, and they double up as place-names. Which reminds me, i need to get one of those blackboard pens they use in pubs to write on them. I got them from here, http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Dovecote-Woodcraft I'm thinking of getting some of the wooden wording "MR & MRS" As £3.50 is v resonable compared to some I've seen (notonthehighstreet.com I'm looking at you!) x
