    I have seen some gorgeous personalised toppers but have decide I might have a go at making ours with polymer clay. [IMG] If I fail miserably I will buy one but I fancy having a go. Anyone else made one? One company I looked at are fully booked until 2011!

    Show me your toppers..handmade or otherwise! [IMG]

    I have hopefully attached the topper I like. The company who make them were fully booked up for ages so we cant have it, however our cake maker has agreed to make something similar, perhaps with the groom with a spade rather than a wheel barrow! The company that makes them are amazing though!

    P.s it does fit in with our garden theme!!

    We didn't have a 'proper' cake topper, but instead as we going for an Alice in Wonderland 'inspired' theme (just a few touches here & there nothing over board..we went for this;

    I love it as it can (AND WILL!!) be reused for every cake I ever make!

    Making your own is such a good idea :lol:

    I don't think we will be having one as although I've not deceded on what style of cake I'm making yet I quite fancy having a beaded topper instead :( (could yet change mind lol)

    Hiya ladies

    I'm a cake decorater - I just wanted to make sure that you're aware that if you have/use polymer clay, you must must must put something between it and the cake. A piece of acrylic or baking parchment is fine, but you can't have it touch the cake directly.

    I'm sorry if you knew this, but better safe than sorry :)

    Helen, I love making beaded toppers, they look so pretty too :D

    Have fun creating!
