:( We are trying to decide on what to have for the toast. We don't like champagne and didn't want any kind of sparking wine so I'm just looking for inspiration and ideas. Did you have/are you having something different?

I quite fancied a tequila toast but oh didn't it makes him ill haha.

We are having cocktails for welcome drinks (not decided which yet) and so maybe we could have another cocktail for the toast. Or maybe something random like cider, would that be too weird in a champagne glass for toasting?!

    Ideas please :D

Ha ha I like the idea of cider in a champagne glass for toasting! :(

As an alternative, how about Pimms?

We had Prosecco for after the ceremony and for toasts which was nice, and a lot cheaper than champagne!

How about a belini? Or kir royale? I like the idea of having cider though, if it's what you both like, why not?

Something local - a local scrumpy perhaps?

Ben and I don't really drink so we're making ginger beer for ours :D

oohhh it has to be sparkling!

I would be happy with prosecco at mine to be honest, champagne isn't always a favourite amongst people - I certainly find most champers too dry..yuck!

Having said that, I have a bottle of Piper Heidseick that was given to me by a friend as an engagement gift, I am not going to open it until my wedding morning! It'll be bacon butties and champers all round! haha!

    That's a great idea! :)

So what's the verdict on the drink choice Helen?

    We haven't decided yet.

Cider is still an option, or I may do a cocktail of some sort... Mmm cocktails! Speaking of which I need to go shopping to get the fruit juices etc.

We have finally decided on our welcome drinks, one non alcoholic cocktail and one alcoholic option. If people don't like it then the bar will be open!

I'll post the cocktails we (read I there lol) have chosen soon :)
