I like the idea of making my own table centre pieces, anyone else made their own and what did you go with?

I've made mini table cloths to go in the centre of the tables (over the normal white ones) and on that I'm putting jugs with flowers in. I'm trying to grow some flowers in my garden for this but who knows if they will flower at the right time!

They should look something along these lines...

I'm also doing jam jars of flowers hanging on shepherds crooks in magic soil that I'm also putting lights inside for the evening. I have no idea if that makes sense!

    Keeping it simple :D

They look pretty, I like it :)

I'm jumping from one idea to the next at the moment, at first I wanted something really bright and colourful so I was thinking something like this....

but then I saw this and really liked these too, I thought maybe the big ones on every table might be a bit much so doing half and half with the small candle holders?
(ignore the fact that the picture of the small ones comes out huge!!)

So now I don't know *confused*

I love the bright and colourful one, but I also love the second one as well!

I chose mine on a skills and cost basis, I know I can do it and I know I have most of the bits I need for it already. Don't get me wrong I do like what I have chosen but those were two large factors in choosing them! Plus it does suit our slightly 'shabby' venue which was chosen as they were the only place we could find that would let us do what we wanted.

That's a good idea, I'll cost up both the ideas and see what it comes out as :)

I really like the middle one - the mix of textures is really pretty :)

were making our centrepieces. our wedding is in October, and we've started making them. They are the tree logs, with candles in the top, 3 on each table. quite pleased with them. trying to make a cake stand too

    Great idea :)

I did my own flowers, I went for an informal country style (so just popped in jugs and jars!) and it was great fun. It did take me several hours though, so make sure you allow time to do it.
