Most of you ladies know we have been trying for a baby for sometime and have found it all very stressful.

Well I am very very very excited to finally tell you we are having a baby. Sesame as it is named is now 10 weeks old. I had some pain and spotting so got my 12 week scan moved forward and got to meet him/ her this morning. The scan pic is not very good but he sure was wriggling!

We are very happy. I do have a uti which may be causing the pain and spotting but that can be solved!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :D :D :D

That is amazing news, I'm so pleased for you both! It must have been amazing seeing Sesame on the screen for the first time. I'm so excited for you! :D

How have you been feeling? Any sickness or are you ok? I can sympathise with the UTI, they are horrible.

    P.S. That's a great name ;)

I haven't had much sickness, occasionally waves of nausea but nothing more. This has added to concern about pains etc but guess I am just lucky!

I haven't really got any signs of uti, thought general yucky feeling was due to pregnancy symptoms. I do get cytitis a lot though.. Hate it!

Yeah I'm prone to it too - I now take cranberry tablets, have cranberry juice every day, and avoid sex when I'm dehydrated and I haven't had a UTI in over a year now :)

Will you find out the sex of the baby at the 20 week scan or are you planning on leaving it as a surprise?

Oh, that's absolutely fantastic news. Congratulations :D Just relax as much as you can and enjoy every moment of the pregnancy. I'm 15 weeks now and still feeling tired most of the time - good excuse to be pampered though.

Thanks ladies. Can't wait to take sesame and Merlin for nice walks this time next year! Trying to get Merlin used to my friends baby so he used to having th em around. We def don't want him to feel put out when baby arrives or have to be put in the hall because of baby!

So far he thinks she is a toy he can play with and leaps at her! This may take some time!

What kind of dog is Merlin again? I know that some breeds are better with babies than others - like you say as long as he doesn't feel put out I'm sure he'll be happy enough :)

He is cocker spaniel. I think he will be fine, he loves my god daughters who are 7 and 5 but I think he didn't really know what a baby is and it cried, and didn't do much do he thought it was his new toy ha ha!
