Recommendations For Shropshire & Mid Wales Suppliers

Nearly a year on I thought I should post the people we used for our wedding. We were really pleased with all the suppliers we used, if you wanted to ask me about them please feel free to message me.

Venue Hire - The Berwick Pavilion at the Shropshire County Showground
Large empty room that you can dress as you please. We had a marquee liner inside, this was included in the hire cost.

Table and Chair Hire - Platinum Marquee Hire
Massive thanks to these guys as we asked them to get us tables and chairs with not much notice, about a week before I think it was!

Outside Catering - D & N Catering
Fabulous food, huge choice of menus and styles of catering. We choose a buffet style main and an ice cream bar pudding - amazing! People are still commenting how good the food was.

Ice Cream - Dairy Dreams Ice Cream
Scrummy farm made ice cream, so many flavours to choose from! We had 7 flavours. Chocolate Indulgence, Fruits of the Forest, Clotted Cream, Chocolate Orange, Toffee Crunch (not sure if it was called that, it was the one my sister chose!), Rhubarb Sorbet and Elderflower Sorbet.

Flowers - Flowers 4 Florists
I ordered these online direct from the Amsterdam flower markets after someone here recommended them. Flowers were in lovely condition when they arrived, if you want to do your own flowers I recommend using them. There is a minimum order value but it wasn't too high, I think it was about £150 when I ordered.

Bouquet & Buttonholes - Bloom
I ordered individual silk flower stems and made my own bouquet with them. These travelled to Canada and back and are now in a vase in our sitting room. Perfect match to my dress.

Do you know Shrewsbury at all? As bridesmaid I've organised a hen do there (it's next weekend!) I've got bookings at several venues (restaurant, karaoke, club) but if you know of any good pubs/bars for inbetween.....

 

I want an ice cream bar now! I just told my hubby he has to have a 40th birthday party ( not until next year like) so we can have an ice cream bar! Sounds amazing!

 

I've lived here for two years and only been out at night in Shrewsbury twice! I've been to Frank Cocktail Bar (by Welsh Bridge), cocktails are gorgeous but I thought expensive although this may just be how much things cost these days, seems a long time since student prices ha. You will have to let me know what the places you go to are like!

Mrs Brown that ice cream bar was just so good, you should def try one!
