    Hi All,

Ony just registered on the site today. We are getting married on 8th october 2010 at New Hall Hotel & Spa, Sutton Coldfield

I am really far behind on our planning I think, I am yet to organise Chair Covers, Buy Bridesmaides dresses (although I know which ones) Needs to do some sort of entertainment was thinking ratpack singer for the lag between evening meal and our evening guests arriving. I have sent out my Save the Dates and invitations will be going next month I think. Needs rings.. Flowers, Cake all sorts!!

We decided to have a baby, organise a wedding and start a new business all at the same time...Madness!

The business we started is wedding stationery so I have been busy designing for other brides and not myself! Typical hey. It's been total madness as it's a new concept in stationery to the market (printed onto acrylic) and has taken off a storm, (i'm not here to plug btw, so won't leave a link)

I thought if I come and join a forum it might give me a kick up the bum to get sorted! I joined Hitched but because i'm a registered supplier it shows up on my user name and I hardly got any response to my posts as I think people just thought I was plugging, which I understand.

Anyway, Looking forward to sharing idea's )

Hi watsonnicole, Welcome to the site. Just to warn you we are very nosy so you'll have to tell us everything, pics are good too, lol! I love this site, everyone is friendly and extremely helpful and supportive.
I agree you must be quite mad though with all that you are doing, but that means you'll fit just right on this site, ha ha.
Have you had your baby yet? Congratulations on setting up your business too!
Don't worry about the organising, you'll get there and you still have 4 months.

Hellooooooooo and welcome. As Julia said above, this site is fab and everyone is so lovely and helpful . I get married in October too and still have lots to do - rings, waiting for flower quotes, cake semi sorted (having a saga with this at the mo!), mens suits altho we have in mind what we are having but need to get organised and go and hire!, have invites but need to write and need to order Order of services, so you aren't on your own!! I would order your BMs dresses as a priorty but don't get too stressed about everything else.

Congrats on your baby. Have you had him/her? I have 2 little monsters. Have been engaged for 4 years but set the date in feb and 8 months to plan! Any help you need just shout

Oh, and yes we are very nosy! What is your dress like?

    Hi Ladies,

Thank You for your replies. I had my son Kaden 9 months ago, He is growing so fast!

BM dresses - I have them put aside for me, I just need to find the time to go and get them. We have paid the deposit on the men's suits so we really need to arrange fittings, My dress has already been delivered and that didn't even spur me on.. Gosh sounds awful!

Dress is here: http://www.lauda.ie/phil_collins/large/pc7955.jpg Its so lush and sparkly! Cannot decide on a veil or not though?

OMG - Just though we don't even have a photographer! eeeeeeeeeeek!

I seen a pic online of a cake I like, I have sent it today to a few companies for a quote so just waiting http://blog.bridepower.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/black-and-white-wedding-cakes-13-150x150.jpg < Link We are having a B&W Theme

RE: the business, I just wanted something really different for my invites/table plan etc so it was a idea I had and I had no idea it would be so popular! Attched is the table plan we will be having and the place cards.. Different hey?

Hi and congratulations on the engagement, business and baby.

welcome to a world of shoe, cake and dress porn.
The other two are spot on when they say we are very friendly and nosy but in a good way of course. I am one of the ones that Julia was on about, i am completely bonkers. I have over two years yet so im hoping to to be semi organised by then, very unlikely though. Im also intending on making the invites along with loads of other stuff, see bonkers. I have one beautiful bouncing monster on my hands at the moment.

Ah, 9 months is a cute age!

Loving all your planning so far! Dress is lovely and cake looks fab too. Also think that your business idea is great. So unusual but also really unique and clever. Bet they look stunning when they are on display!

Doesn't sound like you are doing badly with your planning. Start looking at photographers though as some do get booked up very early, but it all depends on what you want. Have you tried on veils with the dress? Perhaps a plain one as there is lots of sparkle on the pretty dress that you don't want to detract from that? Its wortth trying a few next to the dress tho to see how you feel. I had never had any strong feelings about veils but found that when I tried them on with the dress it just really set it off and made me feel extra special! If not, you could go for a headband/tiara/combs instead for a bit of interest in your hair?
