Hello, Myself and my fiancé are running away to get married at York registry office on 10 April 2019. We intend telling our family and friends when we get back home. At 46 and 57 respectively, we don't want a big fuss. We have both been married before and simply want our day to be about us and for us. However, we were hoping the registrar office employees or hotel staff would be able to witness for us but it turns out, sadly not. I have read on this forum that a few couples have asked if anyone would be prepared to witness from their wedding location and have been successful. To this end, and I apologise if this is deemed cheeky, but is there anyone from York that would be prepared to give up fifteen minutes of their day to be our witnesses? Thank you.
