AHH Flower Co - thats so cool that you got married there - you must have good taste! lol.

We have just under 5 months to go now and it finally feels like it's getting closer - but our list of things to do seems to be growing daily!!!

Can i pick your brains about decorations? what did you have? do you have any pictures? X

    Thanks ladies!

We are super excited today - Our ticker shows 150 days!!!!! i remember when it was over 570 when i first joined (YAYW), it's finally getting here!!

We booked Groovybooth as some more entertainment for our guests yesterday, so we know how that and a really good band playing. ( i hope thats enough - what do you think?)

Also, we had our cheque sent off to the registrar yesterday, along with our vows (we wrote our own) and the readings we're having + the music...

    Our readings are:

    American Indian Wedding Blessing

Now you will feel now rain,

for each of you will be shelter to the other.

Now you will feel now cold,

for each of you will be warmth to the other.

Now you will feel no loneliness,

for each of you will be companionship to the other.

    Now you are two persons,

but there are three lives before you: his life, her

    life and your life together.

Go now to your dwelling place,

to enter into the days of your life together.

May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead

and through all the years may happiness be

    your companion,

And may your days be good and long upon the earth.

Treat yourselves and each other with respect,

and remind yourselves often of what brought

    you together.

Give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentleness

and kindness that your connection deserves.

When frustration, difficulty and fear assail your

relationship, remember to focus on what is right

between you and not only that part which seems wrong.

In this way, you can ride out the storms

when clouds hide the face of the sun in your lives.

    Author unknown

From Forever and Anon – complied by Gerry Hanson

    AND

His hello was the end of her endings,

Her laugh was their first step down the aisle.

His hand would be hers to hold forever,

His forever was as simple as her smile

He said, she was what was missing,

    She said instantly, she knew.

She was a question to be answered

And his answer was – I do.

    What do you think?

    Love Jess xx

They really are lovely. I think personalised vows, whether written yourself or from readings/poems that are special to you are fantastic and I am so glad that Hubby and I wrote ours, although when I get round to writing my wedding report you'll see that something quite spooky and special happened to us regarding our vows........

Don't worry, I'm definitely doing it but I don't get all of the photos til the end of August! I'll get back to my planning page over the next few days and put some bits and bobs on, but you'll have to wait til I've got the pics to tell you all about the vows..... x

Jess - I am totally nicking your flower idea for my bridesmaids (sorry!). I'm getting married abroad, and was going to go with Sarah's (artificial) flowers, but now I've seen your pics I'm getting q excited about having something similar! (Yours are even in similar colours to ours!)
We're sending our 2 yr old nephew up the ailse with a small folksy triangular flag to wave, made out of fabric with his name sewn on in patchwork letters, so fabric flowers would be perfect, not to mention lovely to keep.

Your dress and invitations are also beautiful, we must have similar taste - but don't worry I wont nick them as well :D
