    Hi Ladies,

Just posting some photos of my home made invites. My ideas are from lots of sites. Want people's opinions before I go ahead to make anymore. What do you think needs added? Taken away? Changed? Wording?

Under the little image (do you know what that is?) is a little velcro dot to seal the card. Inside the invite, in the pocket, will be the extra info (travel info, accomodation etc) but will do that at a later date.

    Anyway, OPINIONNNNNNS PLEASE!!!!

    :(

    CB xx

Argh! I've put the photos in photobucket, but that link didn't work.

What do I do to show you?

Ohh that is lovely, simple and sophisticated. :(

I like the way you put the J and K together with the wedding date too :(

    They're very nice!!!!!!
I did find it a little hard to make out the date on the front though.
I would also suggest putting your father's initial, instead of just Mr and Mrs on the insert.
If you don't want your details to be public, you will need to edit the second pic, as all the names etc are clear when you enlarge the photo.

Thanks for your advice. I've tried editing the 2nd photo but I can't - nevermind!
Will do the two other things you suggested :(
Think it's time to start the production line lol.

Also ladies, do you think I need to put the words "wedding invite" anywhere? And if so, any ideas where?

I was going to do my gatefolds myself, but left it far too late. Russ chose the final design, and although our colours are different to yours, I think we both have similar taste!

    Here's ours.

They look lovely - what is your colour scheme? What do you have on your inserts? I'm not sure what info I need to give.

We're having a black and white colour scheme. Our main insert is the invite itself, as we put the artwork in the middle of the gatefold. That way we could use the same gatefold for day and evening invites.
With that we had printed RSVP cards with matching envelopes.
I think the inserts you choose depend on your venue, and whether you have guests who will need to travel a long way to get there.
You could include a map, numbers of local taxi firms and hotels,or any additional requests you have.
For instance,I think the idea of asking guests to request a song is lovely.

I don't think we are going to bother with RSVP cards as we are going to have a website that people can RSVP on, and everyone else who is more "traditional" would prefer to get their own cards anyway. I would like to include a map, seen some people's that have lovely maps, any idea where I would be able to make these?

That's a lovely idea to ask people to request a song - is this just to add to the djs playlist??

    Thanks for your help :)
