Nearly a year on I thought I would share my recommendations for the suppliers we used for our Canadian wedding. We only had 3 guests and had a small and informal ceremony with a meal in a restaurant afterwards. We had a UK reception a few weeks later and I have written recommendations for that on another thread. I'm happy for anyone to message me with any questions about anyone we used.

Wedding Planner - Rocky Mountain Weddings
Lauren was great, she did all the legal bits and bobs for us before we arrived, took us to sign all the official paperwork the day before, found us a selection of photographers to choose from, told everyone where we had chosen for the ceremony and picked me up from my hotel and took me to the ceremony. Totally stress free.

    Venue - Two Jack Lake
We only chose our ceremony location the day before our wedding. Lauren gave us a map of the local area and highlighted a few favourite wedding spots for us to check out. Two Jack Lake was my husbands favourite, even though he had to borrow a snow shovel and clear a path down to the lakeside!

    Photographer - Bev Cavanagh
Bev was one of the photographers recommended to us by Lauren. We chose her as we liked her style of photography and only met with her the day before our wedding. She was brilliant, on the day of our wedding she picked up my husband and took him to the ceremony location. She took us to three different locations after the ceremony for photos. She even sent us the photos on a disk to one of the places we were staying on our honeymoon so that we got to take our photos home with us.

    Marriage Commissioner - Marion Kutzer
Marion was booked for us by Lauren. We didn't meet her until the day of our ceremony but it was no problem. She had emailed all the paperwork and vows etc to us beforehand and we had chosen and added to them as we liked before sending them back to her. Lovely lady, highly recommended. Here she is with us while we signed the official paperwork!

    Reception Restaurant - Melissa's
As there were only 5 of us we hadn't booked any kind of reception venue in advance. My parents had arrived in Banff a few days before us and had wandered around the town looking for a nice place for us to eat in the evening following our ceremony. They ate here at Melissa's one night and said they thought it would be a good place. We looked at the menu and agreed. We booked the corner booth style table the day before. Super food, great service, even if you are having a big reception somewhere else I would recommend having a meal here another day you are in Banff.

    Bouquet & Buttonholes - Bloom
I ordered individual silk flower stems and made my own bouquet with them. These travelled to Canada and back and are now in a vase in our sitting room. Perfect match to my dress.

Was your dress from Vivian of Holloway? Definitely worth a mention if that's right!

Canada is a beautiful country, no doubt about it! Your photos make it look a bit cold, but still looks like you had a good time. Do you think having more than 3 guests would have been problematic for these venues?
