    Hi everyone,

We were recently at a wedding where they had a box wrapped in paper for posting cards in, rather than as with every other wedding I have been to when no ones quite knows what to do with it. Anyway I liked the idea but..... I want it to fit with our theme a bit more. We are having a garden themed wedding so I thought it would be easy but I am stuck... (having a empty brain day!!) Anyone got any ideas?

Whilst I am here, if anyone has any ideas regarding our theme, I'd love to hear them.

    Thank you

How about a picnic basket with flowers or ribbon around the handle, Or a wishing well is quite popular, or if you want something different you could have a washing line where guest use a peg to attach their card to the line.

I like the bird box idea just as much MrsMay, so don't do yourself down!
    All great ideas.
Only thing I came up with is a topiary tree in a nice planter, maybe decorated with ribbon to match your theme, that guests can clip cards onto. You then have a memento of the day to keep.

If it's a garden theme how about a tree? You could use a branch, or I think you can get frames that people attach their message to like leaves

    For example, like this:

Thank you for all your help. I also had an idea of a watering can, so people could post the cards. will run ideas by H2b, the winner will be decided by the facial expression.. i.e the one that creates less of a squirm ha ha. Thats how I usually measure things, if he agrees thats a bonus, if he doesnt complain we go for it ha ha ha!!

Sounds a lot like my H2B. At first I couldnt get any kind of opinion out of him about anything theme-wise, so decided to go with a shell theme as I have scolloped detail on my dress. THEN out of nowhere, having as far as I'm aware being indifferent to shells his whole life, announces that he hates shells! Ha.

Oh dear! Have you overcome the shell situation?

I'm quite lucky as Ben and I seem to agree on everything so far although i'm still not totally sold on the 'getting married in my roleplahying gear' idea!

You just know he's going to dress as something. I can't imagine him not to be honest. It'd waste a good castle for him to be normal!
