Hi ladies as I've posted somewhere before I'm setting up my own cake business and I need your help to find me a name for it. Any ideas welcomed. I'm going to do cakes for birthdays, weddings, christmas, christenings and any special occasions you can think of so quite wide ranging. All the cakes will be hand made and hand iced.

I'm really stuck for ideas. I didn't want to call it Helen's cakes as I thought it was a bit dull. My dad suggested Stellar Cakes as a bit of a take on my middle name and stars but the name is already being used by someone else.

Other ideas we have had include
Something with dragon in the name (as I am on the Welsh borders)
Green Sapphire Cakes (as they are unusual and pretty and I like them and they are in my engagement ring lol)
    Moondust Cakes
    Starshine Cakes
etc sort of expanding my dads idea a bit but I'm not sure really! Help please! I don't mind how random or crazy or dull the idea is as long as noone has it already! Thank you
    :)

How about something quirky but really easy to remember like 'Have Cake and Eat It'?

I like names like that as when you see them, it's so simple to remember and then refer to others... Just checked and all domain types apart from a .com are available for the name too.

I'll keep thinking but that is the first thing that sprang to mind as being a good play on words and quirky & fun but still professional :)

Just ran this idea past a friend who says it would make you stand out from the crowd and be modern and create a slick image. I would buy from you anyway whatever the name :)

I agree with MrsLetts2b's suggestion - "Let them eat cake!" :)

I also like Have Cake and Eat it... all this talk of cake is making me hungry though! :D

I know of someone using have cake and eat it or something very similar. A piece of cake is the name of a cake supplies company too. It is so hard to find the perfect name!

Keep the ideas coming please :)

Grr this is not going well, everytime I find something I like the sound of it is already in use!

Thought this morning I'd have Cake Star, thought it was short and to the point but already taken :D

I like the idea of having Cake at the front of the name though.

Cake a licious already taken :)

I've sifted through a lot of names now! My friends best suggestion were fondant fantasies but you guess it already taken lol.

I've got two names that are avaliable,

    Iced and Frosted
    Bright Star Cakes

What do you think of these? Is the first one too american? The second too dull?

Just thought I'd add why I like these two, the first as I love snow etc and I think iced and frosted is quite cute and cake related as in the icing on the cake or frosting on the cake which are two name s that have been suggested but not avaliable. The second I like as star is my middle name. :)

I like Iced & Frosted best out of the two :)

Another thought just popped into my head - how about Iced Delights?

Still don't have a name

I had a thought that I might want to expand into other areas so thought Cakes and More or something similar would be a good name but then I found out there are already several of those about too. Grr!

In the meantime I'm making a few dummy cakes that I can keep as examples and take photos for my website (when I get one!) so if you have any suggestions for cake designs I should include let me know
