We don't want the traditional guest book. We really like the idea of people writing on cards for us to sort out later but don't know how to jazz it up a bit. We have thought about a bird cage that the notes can be kept in but has anyone got any other ideas?

I saw one where you can put the notes on a tree.. do you have a theme for your wedding so we can try to fit ideas to it?

My friends had a big photo with a frame that everyone signed. I think it was from Confetti.

I like the photo idea, it can look really nice and its something you can keep.

A friend of mine went to a wedding where they had a digital camera hooked up to one of those instant printers, so people took photos of themselves, printed them off and then wrote next to them in an album. Kept people occupied during photos too, which is always a plus!

Ooo I was going to suggest the tree but love the idea with the digital camera! I was thinking of doing that but was put off the idea as polaroids are too expensive but a digital camera could work!!!! xxx

the polaroid printers and papers are pretty cheap on Amazon as that was our plan until we saw the price of polaroid cameras and film but then we found these and have gone for it!

    Polaroid Amazon

Also the papers are sticky backed so no need for glue - we have around 45 coming to the day and an extra 20 at the evening so going for about 200 sheets I think!

Depending upon what the theme is... a line tied between two pillars of some sort (could be anything from hessian to ribbon), heart shaped cutouts and little pegs to attach them to the line. :(

    Hello!!

Our theme is red and white, so I'm using several craft punches to punch out red and white hearts, scalloped hearts, plain cards, some big, some small, etc. I've got a lovely round bowl (rather big) which we usually have little lights in, and the idea is that people write on the little cards, hearts, etc. and put them in the bowl. Someone will go round with my digital camera during the meal and take an individual photo of every guest, and after the wedding I plan to make a scrapbook with on every page the person's photo and their message.

    Hanna xxxx

I was thinking of the frame idea. The artwork we had done for our invites has a white background, so would be perfect for guests to add messages. I know the venue has a n A1 size easel we could use to put it on.
I definitely feel a trip to Ikea coming on!

I absolutely LOVE the idea of a digital camera and printer so people can take photos of themselves and put them in the guestbook.

Totally gonna steal that one, thanks!! :)
