My friend is having a festival themed Engagement party this Sat. Marquee, disco and BBQ. Fancy dress is optional. She (and her h2b) went to a fancy dress shop today as they wanted to go as Prince Charming and Cinderella. When she got there they said they had hired out the last of the Cinderella and Charming this morning. She found out that it was her cousin and her boyfriend that had hired it. So, she's now back to the drawing board as what to go as. It's going to have to be something special to 'outdo' her cousins Cinderella costume. Anyone got any ideas??????

If she wants to out do Cinderella and Prince Charming, they should go for something very different to stand out. I think either something funny (eg Austin Powers and Felicity Shagwell?!) or maybe something a bit sexy. Have they had any more thoughts?

The party was on Saturday. They ended up going as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and the Mad Hatter from Alice in wonderland.

I didn't go in fancy dress - I'm a bit lame and never get into the spirit of fancy dress. I've copied a facebook pic of the happy couple though (she was carrying a toto cuddly toy around in a basket all night bless her).

I love love love fancy dress! I have so many outfits in my cupboard at home it is actually shameful... lol. Maybe go for the glow in the dark body paint on some festival clothes? this might give you a bit of an edge!
