    Hi all,

My fiance and I are getting married next May. We are having a DIY wedding and so rather than a sit-down meal, want to get a fish 'n' chip or burger van. Has anyone done this? What kind of cost are we looking at? Ideally we don't want a "wedding package" - we want it to be more like a festival feel, so people go and buy food as and when they are hungry! Thanks!

    Hi Steph,
Have you picked a venue yet? This sounds really fun, but a lot of the 'traditional' venues don't allow outside catering but that doesnt mean it can't be done. What about looking at hiring a field for the day from a local farmer, or even use something like a village hall with land next door. With this option, at least you will have facilities to use (like toilets and running water).
