Paper flowers! These are just white but think of the colours you could do? Use tissue paper for a different effect to these but just as dramatic. I rather like them!

They're lovely! Really original and different, and you could make them fit with your colour scheme with the correct tissue. Good find Popple! :)

I might have a go later but don't hold your breath, I am highly impatient with things so they may end up more dead flowers than flowers :)

Sounds a bit like me, if it doesn't work instantly I don't want to know lol Are they fairly easy to do? It looks pretty complicated!

They look really good! There's definitely a lot of potential for different colours and textures! Are you going to give it a try? If so you'll have to let us see some pics of how you get on!

I am full of ideas, just getting round to doing them that is the issue. I have just bought hessian to cut into strips, fray the edges and wrap round napkins. I have the idea of sewing a rustic heart onto each with red wool but will I get round to it? Hmmmmm. Maybe. I'll probably try the flowers first.

I'd love to do wedding workshops for DIY brides but not sure anyone would want to pay to come. A monthly meet up to plan, share ideas and witter with other brides would be cool :)

Do you really think people would come? I've been thinking about it for ages. Would have to be in somewhere nice like a nice hotel where we could lunch too so would probably end up costng about £20 for a day. Other option is a cheaper hall but that kind of ruins the whole nice weddingy theme a bit. Will have to research more.

I would definitely come and I know other people that would love that sort of thing. Its nice to have ideas of what to do DIY wise, but putting it into practice can be quite hard. Having other people to help would be better than photos on t'interweb.

I figured it would be cool to keep up motivation too, making 100 pom pom tissue flowers alone is driving me crazy!

I made paper carnations for my aunt's wedding, though many years ago. She used them to decorate the buffet table.
