Being the not very creative type - I don't currently own any glue! the tarditional DIY invites were way beyond our capabilities so we have bought really pretty art cards from www.bugart.co.uk for an amazing bulk buy price of £100 for 100 cards (the cards retail at £2.25 each) The lady even included an extra 100 matching envelopes for our reply cards :) and we are printing them on our trusty HP. One one side the cards will have you are invited blah blah blah then on the back of the printed side will be the reply printed and menu selecation. The idea being that our guests cut off the front half and pop it back in the post... then i'm going to use the pretty bits of card i get back and some trusty heart shaped hole punches to decorate place settings etc. :) Guess i'll be needing that glue afterall..

    Welcome to the forums airy_fairy!

That sounds like a really good idea - I've been thinking about doing something similar for mine. I've just taken a look at that site and they've got some gorgeous cards there. £100 is a good price too, especially if it includes the RSVP envelopes!

Thanks, :) I am really pleased. H2B found the stamp for the envelopes and corners. Am V. impressed with him!! I'm going to use it on the place cards and tables numbers, order of service etc. as well.

Hi. I know this topic was a long time ago, but I was wondering where you got the stamp for the envelopes from? The cards are amazing and love the pattern on the envelopes. :)

I do card making and scrapbooking, so I thought I'd make my invitations! I haven't got the photos on me at the moment but as soon as I can get a photo on here I will do!

I made the design a couple of years ago, but left the inserts out, still not doing them until the new year in case the times change, etc.

    xx

Here is a photo of our invitations I made. We went for the straight forward folded in half style as its cheaper to make! I've not done the inserts yet as we're waiting until closer to the date in case of the time changing (its currently 3pm but it may become 3.30pm) xx

    Hi,

I just joined the forum to share this video about DIY wedding invitations (with over 10,000 views) and thought this was the best thread to share it with:

    http://ivyellenweddinginvitations.co.uk/diy/

I thought this might be good topic for regulars to the Big Day forum. Any comments are welcome and I hope you find it interesting. If it's not quite right for the forum then just ignore this post, as I don't want to intrude on your community or irritate regular members.

    Thanks,

    Tudor
