Hmmm. Silver garlands would be cool but also take a look for garlands on ebay as there are some beautiful paper rose garlands in various colours - they are possibly a bit too shabby chic but are really pretty. Your purple and white chair covers will look gorgeous :(

oooh or... the sills look quite deep so how about something like a silver metal planter filled with sweets and a silver scoop? Not that I am a big child or anything... I just saw the4 scoops on ebay and they look very cool. I searched under aluminium bucket and they just came up!

Just type in 'rose garland' They are in muted ivory / cream, lilac or a pale pink and look lovely.

Will find pics later as am in a rush this morning, would forget my head if I could.

Found some! Don't know whether the style of them would clash with my very smooth, specifically 'unpointy' real roses.... But I love them!

Your colour scheme is purple and silver then? remind me if you have a particular 'theme'.

How about some big hurricane vases with a single pillar candle in for the window sills.... something like this ...

and maybe just some pillar candles on mirror plates on the fireplace.. or a couple of 'infinity candle holders'?

The room looks fab, you're lucky to have a fireplace to decorate, it's going to look fab! What about something that ties in with the crystals in the chandeliers?

That room is gorgeous, I love those chandeliers! :)

I like the pillar candles and centre decoration for the fireplace that you picked, will you be allowed to light the candles? Some places can be funny about it, so thought I'd check.

How about fairy lights wrapped around the columns? Could add a nice sparkly touch to the evening bit!
