Have you tried ringing the shop to see if they have one?

Failing that, there are other stockists around.

Would Rockers England in Manchester be any good to you?

I was going to bid on that very dress in my size on e-bay the other day, but VOH stuff never goes that cheaply.

Haven't tried ringing actually... what a good idea! :)

Had a look at that Rockers England site - it's a good un! Totally got my heart set on a blue dress though... with white spots... I'll give them a ring tomorrow :D

Salma, there's a size 14 of the dress you like on e-bay. Wasn't sure what size you were.

Hi Ladies,

I love the stuff on VOH! Another place you can look is www.bigbeautifulbarbarabrown.com (their website isn't as good as VOH but they still have some nice styles made ffrom vintage/retro patterns) I have my eye on this...

I like the pretty cape/flutter sleeves! They have some unusual fabric choices, but I reckon if you asked them, they could find a fabric that you would like.

Grrrr I'm getting really frustrated with the VoH website!! :)

I've been after the halterneck pencil dress in red and white polka dots, and they have JUST got one in in my size. Brilliant, I thought. So I registered, added it to my shopping basket, and for some reason it keeps signing me out so I can't buy it!! This is sods law... :)

I'm going to keep trying, wish me luck!!

Hope it gets here before Christmas!! We're going to a fancy dress part for new year and I'm hoping to wear it as Miss Scarlett (Ian will be Colonel Mustard) :)

I didn't get a dress for my birthday, but I've had to cancel my plans so I wouldn't have anywhere to wear it anyway. :)

Russ has promised to buy me one, but he's lost his bank card so can't order anything online. I'm worried all the stuff I like will be sold out again by the time it arrives.

Today really isn't going to plan.

Ok, I'm looking at the VOH wesite right now and literally can't decide between circle skirt or pencil skirt?! I just need a reason, any reason, to pick one type over the other, as I honestly honestly can't say I prefer one style over the other ! Gah, I'm an idiot! :)

Ok, I've found a reason - I'd want a petticoat to go with the circle skirt...and they're another £60! So I've decided to go with the pencil dress, like Becky but in the anchor print.

So on to next dilemma - I cant work out what size. Have measured self, and the guide says the most impt measurement is the waist (measured tightly). BUT in the size which corresesponds to my waist size, the hip measurement of the dress is 7inches bigger than my hips!! So I'm worried that if I got that it would be all baggy around the bum. But I'm reluctant to go any smaller on the waist size in case I look like a string of sausages - I've already measured tightly. Arrrggh. Damn my ridiculously random proportions!

Can anyone whos worn them advise? will the hips be baggy if the measurement is so much bigger than my actual hips, or are they v strechy, so will fit anyway???

I would have said there wasn't really any stretch in mine. You could get both sizes and send back the one that doesn't fit if you can't get to a stockist anywhere to try on?

I love those pencil dresses but they don't really suit me :)

Hmm, I might just get the size according to the waist measurement and then send it back if it dunt fit. If I go with a size nearer to my hips, then I'd also have to have a 26inch waist, which is very sadly not the case!! :)

Thanks girls x
