Hello!

Can I just start by saying that this forum looks lovely!! I've just spent a good half hour rummaging around various forums via Google to find one that seemed nice and yours has definitely won!

I got engaged on Sunday, and am still very much in the super excited giggly stage (possibly permanent) So far our entire practical success has involved arranging a meeting with the priest and also viewings with a few venues, but I think that's a lovely amount for 2 days

I've got a good few questions already brewing that I hope everyone can help with and I will definitely do my best to help everyone else if I can.

When/where are you thinking of getting married? Meeting the priest and looking at venues is VERY productive for just 2 days, good for you!

It's really nice to hear that you think of us mad lot as lovely, he he. We are though and we hope we can help with anything you're wondering/worried about etc and we'll definitely like to hear your ideas and opinions too. We are very nosy when it comes to pics of your planning etc, from now on known as wedding porn!

There's also a thread called 'Engagement stories' so it'd be great to hear how your partner proposed!

lol I don't think I'm that organised, I literally only made 4 phone calls and that was this afternoon I'm more stuck on my obsession with trying to take nice photos of my engagement ring at the moment :-) And apparently being trapped online talking about weddings Oops!

I shall go and put my engagement story in the appropriate thread and then I really must log off ! For a few hours at least!

Hello! Its a brill feeling, I too spent ages looking at my ring and completly lost the use of my hand for a few weeks!!

This site is fab, some days are more busy than others (some days we actually do wedding planning not just talk about it ha ha!!) But everyone is nice and helpful and dead nosy too!!

We can never pin our vicar down to a meeting to finalise the ceremony and he works at the school my h2b works at and we are getting married!!
