Hi Everyone,

My name is Dee and I'm getting married on the 12th May 2012 in Cambridge to John.

We've been together for 9 years and are finally getting around to tieing the knot.

Looking forward to hearing all your stories and top tips x

Welcome to Big day! Looking forward to hearing all your planning!

Have you got your dress yet? Dresses have to be the fave thing (closely followed by anything wedding.. shoes, venue, cars etc!!)

We were actually meant to get married this year but my fiancee had a bone infection and had to postpone it.

So we have the venue, photographer, videographer and dress all sorted. The colour theme we are having is Teal and Silver. It's all the small fiddly bits that need sorting now, the real urgent one we have to sort out is the invitations. So any ideas would be gratefully received!!

I look forward to hearing all your plans x

A bone infection? Eek, that sounds nasty!

Teal and silver is a beautiful combination. Are you thinking of making the invites yourself? We did ours - it took a little while, but saved a lot of money. We looked online for designs we liked and then copied them!! A bit cheeky I know...

If you don't fancy making them yourself but you don't want to pay for expensive 'professional' stationery, it might also be worth checking out whether there is anyone local to you who can make them for you.

When are you planning to send the invites out?
