There have been a few famous weddings so far this year - great for those of us who are addicted to anything wedding related!

Some of the dresses were truly gorgeous. So it got me thinking - which is your favourite and why?

Kate Middleton's dress was designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen

John Galliano designed Kate Moss's dress, showing that although he may say some awful things at times, he can create stunning gowns

Lily Allen's dress was designed by Delphine Manivet, and features a 1920s style headdress

Charlene Wittstock married Prince Albert of Monacco in a dress designed by Armani

And last but not least, Zara Philips in an elegant dress by Stewart Parvin

You will note that Abbey Clancey did no make the list :D (although actually I saw a photo of her dress fitting and it previously had a lace panel up to her neck which was really pretty, but in true footballers wife style she had it removed)

I was going to say Charlene, but I don't like the embroidery running up the front.
I'm surprised I'm saying this, but I think Kate Middleton's is my favourite.

I really don't like the current trend of having a separate band of fabric running around the bottom of the dress. Has anyone noticed that when trying dresses on in shops?

I totally agree with you fb that band around the bottom of Zara's dress put me off as did the embroidery on Charlene's. Kate's is def my fave out of these.

I'm the same - Kate Middleton's is my favourite too, but I never thought that would be the case!

I absolutely adore the detail on Kate Moss's dress, but I'm not keen on how see through it is!

Here's a close up:

It's odd that Kate Moss and Lily Allen had their wedding so close to each other and went for such similar headdresses! What do you think of them? I prefer Kate's to Lily's, but it's not something I would have gone for myself. Suits the overall vintage look though!

Kate Moss' dress definitely looks better close up. From a distance it just looks like a nightie!

Yeh, I thought the same! There is a photo of her walking along, and you can completely see her legs! Apparently she jumped in a swimming pool later in the evening wearing it... :D

Kate middleton as well. I wanted to be less predictible, but I do think its the nicest.

What I like about the Lilly Allen picture is how happy she looks, and her flowers are nice.

That's true - especially when you contrast her expression with Charlene's!

I like Kate's the best, she looked so lovely and I like all the detail on it and like the lace, which I would never choose for myself. I don't particularly like any of the others.

Agree with the nightie comment about Kate Moss's dress - I think it's awful lol

My Mum got a dvd of the royal wedding and we put it on the other day.. we fast forwarded all the boring bits but watched her going in and out.. her dress was stunning but I am not sure I liked the bust section. I think it looks like Madonna in the 80's!

But i liked the top half of charlenes, lily's and zaras but not the bottom!

Kate's overall was the best though and Pippa does get the prize for best bridesmaid dress.. her dress was stunning!

I read that some of Kate Moss' bridesmaids complained at how frumpy their dresses were.

Her wedding was covered by Vogue wasn't it? Might have to take a peek at this month's issue...

My favourite dress is Zara's.

I know nothing about 'famous people' or designers (and quite frankly I couldn't care less haha) so I don't know who some of them are or what they do so my favourite dress is based on just that, the dress!

I like the top detail of Kate (Middleton) dress but not the bottom.
Kate (Moss) I love the detail on the bottom but the top is not nice!
Lily, I like lace normally but that seems a bit on the frumpy side.
Charlene, erm well the only bit I like of her dress is the shoulders because they are quirky.

That leaves Zara's dress, actually I like it all, and just to differ from a few people I like the bottom 'band'.

Good fun this, Becky! :)

Website of fabulous cake-ness coming soon!
