My h2b is catholic and we're hoping to have our wedding at his family church, does anyoneknwo how strict they are in a catholic ceremony with what music you can use for walking down the aisle, signing the register etc?
I *really* don't want 'here comes the bride' - I'd be happy with a classical piece but if there's more leeway to have something a bit more personal I'd love it

I'm preeeety sure you can have some classical music - fear not, I don't think you will have to have Here Comes the Bride
Might be worth asking the church whether they've got a list of suitable music? Or do you have something in mind?

though it mainly depends on the parish priest, many catholic churches do not allow secular music. Catholics consider weddings a sacrament, hence sacred or classical music can be played.

I'd really like one of these pieces, what do you think?
My friend is an amazing musician and I was thinking of askign her if she could play one of them, once we've spoken to the priest and see what he says
Bach - Arisos
Back - Air on G String
