The Reception

As the rain had stopped we were able to have the drinks reception outside. There were glasses of Prosecco floating about, together with delicious canapés provided by Top Table Catering. We had mini crispy duck pancakes, mini Yorkshire puddings with sausages, cheese tomato and oregano focaccia...

Getting Ready

The day before the wedding was warm and sunny – perfect, infact, for a wedding. Which made the disappointment all the more intense when we woke up to rain! Ian checked the weather forecast and it looked like there was a small chance it would clear up a bit as the day went on – that was good enough for us.

Our family started arriving at their hotels the day before the wedding, so most of Friday was spent rushing round visiting them all and dropping things off / picking things up. This was probably my most stressed out day, and most of it was spent in a hot car which didn’t help.
